Privacy Policy

Short version: Interview Simulator doesn't use cookies, doesn't need an account, and keeps your game progress on your own device.

Last updated: 4 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Interview Simulator is run by Gabriella Ferreira. For any question about your data, including a request to access or delete it, use the contact form and choose "Privacy request".

Data stored on your device

The game saves your progress (furthest round, endings found and dossier unlocks) in your browser's local storage so it is still there next time. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. We don't use cookies. You can delete it at any time with "Clear history" in your candidate file, or by clearing your browser data.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how many people play and which parts of the game they reach. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not store information that identifies you. We respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.

It records page views, the referring site, and general device, browser and country information. It also records anonymous game events: which candidate was chosen, which ending was reached and whether a result was shared. We never record what you type.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, chosen topic and message by email, sent through the email service Resend. We use them only to reply to you and keep them only as long as needed for that. Your email address is not shown to anyone else.

Problem reports

If you send a report with the "Report a problem" button, we receive what you type (category, title, description, steps and an optional contact detail) and basic game context such as the screen, candidate and stage you were on. Reports are stored in Trello, a task tracker operated by Atlassian, only to fix issues and reply to you if you left a contact. Please don't include sensitive personal information. We keep reports only as long as they are useful, and you can ask us to delete yours.

Hosting

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its use. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, for example by adding a new tool, we will update this page and the date above first.
